มักพบอยู่เป็นคู่หรือเป็นฝูงเล็ก ๆ และมักพบอยู่รวมกับนกปรอดอื่นโดยเฉพาะนกปรอดสวน&#160; อาศัยและหากินตามต้นไม้ระดับสูงและพุ่มไม้ระดับต่ำ และปรากฏเสมอที่ลงมาหากินตามพื้นดิน&#160; อาหารได้แก่ ผลไม้ ตัวหนอน และแมลงต่าง ๆ&#160;
